At iSmile Dental, we’ve invested in the latest dental technology so that we can provide our patients with the most advanced, high quality dental care available.

Chairside Aerosol Suction

Our chairside extraoral aerosol suction consists of a state-of-the-art 4-layer HEPA filtration system, a high powered UVC germicidal light and plasma, which work together to effectively trap and kill viruses, bacteria and other pathogens generated by aerosol during dental procedures.

This chairside extraoral evacuation system gives our patients and staff protection (and peace of mind) from aerosols in the operatory.

QuickClean® Ultrasonic Cleaners

QuickClean® Ultrasonic Cleaners help us keep our office operating safely and efficiently, and assists us in thoroughly cleaning our instruments with decreased exposure to contaminants and decreased likelihood of sharps injuries. QuickClean®’s advanced technology eliminates hidden residues, providing powerful, effective cleaning with consistent results.

Ritter M11® Steam Sterilizer

After thoroughly cleaning our instruments with QuickClean® Ultrasonic Cleaners, instruments are then bagged and Steam Sterilized. We trust the industry’s best and largest countertop sterilizer, which are market leaders year after year. Ritter sterilizers are designed to be safe and dependable.

NSK Electric Dental Handpiece

With our patients with dental anxiety in mind, we have invested in advanced electric dental handpieces. These pieces are much quieter and produce less vibratory sensation compared to conventional dental drills, which we have found to be a great help in alleviating dental anxiety for many of our patients.

Electric handpieces operate at a noticeably lower decibel range than air-driven handpieces, which can reduce patient objections to the unsettling conventional “drill noise.”

  • Constant torque

Only an electric motor maintains the cutting speed under nearly any load — for smoother and more precise preparations.

  • Controlled speed

Electronically controlled, defined programmed speed within a large speed range enables many kinds of preparations.

  • Very quiet

Working at a very low sound level, without the whine of air driven motors — for relaxed and focused treatments.

  • Versatility

Electric allows to perform high-speed, low-speed and endodontic applications with light — perfect for almost any procedures.

Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is a small video camera about the size of a dental mirror. It allows us to zoom in with a high magnification and see details on your teeth that are invisible to the naked eye and undetectable on an x-ray.

The images are displayed on a TV allowing you to see what we see. You’ll be able to see problems such as worn or broken fillings, cracked teeth, plaque deposits, and cavities next to fillings. By getting a clear picture of what’s going on inside your mouth, you can make treatment decisions with confidence.

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays help us capture high quality digital images of the mouth and jaw during a consultation or exam. Digital X-rays use significantly less radiation than conventional film x-rays, capture much greater detail, and are instantly viewable, enabling us to quickly provide accurate diagnoses and care.

NOMAD Pro Handheld Portable X--ray

The Nomad Pro handheld X-ray system allows us to take precise x-rays.  The low dose, “quick” fall beam produces accurate images quickly and with less error. It is excellent for children and patients with a bad gag reflex. From its safety and portability to its image capture and new features, the KaVo NOMAD Pro 2 is designed with the practice, the clinician, and the patient in mind.

iCAT 3D Imaging System

The award winning i-CAT Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) systems provide two dimensional images and three-dimensional volume reconstructions of the head area. which includes sleep apnea and maxillofacial areas for use in planning and diagnostic support in adult and pediatric care.

The time needed for a standard CBCT scan with an i-CAT™ is typically under 10 seconds with multiple low dose scan settings available. When interpreted by a trained clinician, these images provide useful diagnostic information.

Intraoral Magnification

High-magnification “loupes” are glasses worn by the doctors in our practice. Magnification, in combination with high-intensity illumination, enables us to see in fine detail and assists in catching things that others will miss using the naked eye. Loupes are also very effective for seeing cracked teeth, and orifices of canals, which allows us to be more precise, accurate, careful, and thorough while using the most delicate touch. Working with this advanced technology, we are able to provide precise treatment, which translates to longer lasting dental restorations and possibly less dental treatment in the future.

Spears Patient Education

To help our patients making an informed decision about dental treatments, we are pleased to feature the Spears Patient Education System. Using language that is straightforward and understandable, along with outstanding photographs and graphics, these programs allow us to display information about any dental subject.
